Guangdong set up a smart card industry association to promote the strength of the smart card industry

It is understood that on June 23, 2013 the Guangzhou Smart Card Industry Association was established and the first general meeting was recently held in Guangzhou Baiyun International Conference Center, the contents of the meeting, the Association will guide member enterprises to carry out strategic planning, enhance enterprise productivity, by promoting the interaction between members of the Association to avoid duplication of research and development and reduce investment costs.

Smart cards were officially introduced into the Asian market in 2000 and after more than a decade of development, China has now become the worlds largest smart card sales market, with statistics showing that the Chinese market accounts for 63% of the Asian market and will continue to grow in the future.

The smart card industry is now widely used in various sectors in China and is booming, but there are also some unregulated market practices. The establishment of an industry association is an effective guarantee to strengthen industry management, self-regulation, enhance the service level and image of the industry, and improve the economic efficiency of the industry.
